Crossing genres, borders, and even the walls within our hearts—
Welcoming you into a warm, free-spirited world of music, where anyone can take center stage.
With graceful strength, her flute gently wraps around your heart.
Born and based in Minato City, Tokyo.
She graduated from the Toho Gakuen School of Music and completed its graduate program.
After further studies in France and Switzerland, she completed the International Masterclass at The Juilliard School in New York. In 2006, she made her European debut in Prague, performing Mozart’s Flute Concerto with the Czech Chamber Orchestra.
Since then, she has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras around the world, including the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, and the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since 2013, she has held annual solo concerts in Leipzig and Rome, maintaining an active international career both in Japan and abroad.
Her musical style transcends traditional classical boundaries, encompassing film scores, tango, pop, jazz, and collaborations with traditional Japanese, world instruments, and synthesizers.
She also shares the stage with local students and artists with disabilities, and incorporates elements such as dance and sign language. These truly genre-free concerts are widely loved and have earned a reputation as “performances that can be enjoyed even by those unfamiliar with classical or flute music.”
She is also the founder and leader of 《Team YUKI》, a concert initiative born from the heartfelt wish to create spaces where everyone—from babies to seniors, regardless of ability—can enjoy music freely and comfortably.
With a welcoming, inclusive approach—"come and go as you please, crying and loud voices are welcome, and both the stage and audience areas are fully barrier-free"—her concerts bring that vision to life.
Known for creating custom-made stages filled with audience-requested pieces, these special concerts, overflowing with smiles and music, have received enthusiastic responses across Japan, leading to a steady stream of performance invitations.
In addition to her refined and bold European-trained playing style, her warm storytelling, sense of humor, and exceptional production skills make her concerts truly memorable.
The unique atmosphere she creates—woven from music and personality—embraces each venue in warmth, and audiences of all ages often say, “I want to come again,” or “Next time, I’ll bring someone with me.”
Her CDs L’Arlésienne and Voyage have both achieved strong sales.
Two highly anticipated new albums are set to be released in the fall of 2025.
She was awarded the International Arts Federation Music Prize in 2006.
